C is for Celebration

Ok, so I am backtracking a little bit here.  On Cason's actual birthday Heath had to work so we had a nice dinner together as a family with Papaw and Nana. Heath grilled steaks, I made some crash hot potatoes, a nice salad, and a birthday cake.  We had a really good time. Cason kept saying, "mmm good momma".  That made this momma feel pretty good!

 Of course I had to snap a picture of the cake before we tore into it. Don't you love the little flag banner I made? I made it from leftover scrapbook paper... More on that later.

 Cason's drink of choice- A&W Root Beer, in a perfect kid sized can.

 Cason also happened to be battling a pretty nasty upper respiratory thing-a-ma-bob, so before cake Daddy Cason did a breathing treatment.

 He loved blowing out the candles! He said, fire go away, momma!

 So, remember that cute paper flag banner? Well, did you know that paper will catch on fire when put near an open (candle) flame?
