I love...

This man:
 This FIVE-year-old:
 This EIGHTEEN-month-old:
This beach:
 This town:

Baseball:

Family:

best friends that are like family:

I hope I never forget...

I hope I never forget

The way you say Momma

How you nod your head yes, and firmly say “NO”

That at this point in time, I am your favorite person ( I am sure that will change )

The sound of your feet running across the kitchen floor

The sound of your belly laugh

Your sweet kisses and touches when I’m holding you

The way you look at your brother in total admiration ( I am sure that this will come and go!)

How much I love being your mom, and how special I feel that God chose me to take care of you!!

How silly you are.

How opinionated you are... but I don't think you'll ever let me forget that!!

Family pictures...

Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life! ~Albert Einstein

What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories. ~George Eliot

If the family were a fruit, it would be an orange, a circle of sections, held together but separable - each segment distinct. ~Letty Cottin Pogrebin

You don't choose your family.  They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.
The advantage of growing up with siblings is that you become very good at fractions.  ~Robert Brault

The family is one of nature's masterpieces.  ~George Santayana
Are we not like two volumes of one book? ~Marceline Desbordes-Valmore

And thank you for a house full of people I love. Amen

Don't Mess with Texas boys...

During one of our baseball tournaments this summer, we found a sweet little cafe right across the street from the fields.  We walked over and had one of the best burgers we've ever sank our teeth into.  The name of it is Longhorns, and it sits proudly right in the middle of "downtown" Tarkington, Texas.  Come to find out, the owners are dang near family! The owner's name is Brandy, and she is the cousin of Heath's cousins wife, Dede.  I think that qualifies for a discount! Anyway, on the side of the cafe, there is a huge Texas flag painted on one wall so we took full advantage and got some really neat pictures.

Lucas and his cousins, Cody and Braden.
Lucas and team-mate Bo being silly

I think the bright green grass, in combination with the colors of the flag and some pretty sharp lookin' little boys made for a great impromptu photo shoot!
