Lucas,

Today you are 4 years, 2 months, 1 week, and 2 days old.

You are so smart. You amaze me daily!

You (still) love superheroes. You are my little superhero.

You were in a Christmas play at church this week and you played a Wiseman. You did such a great job and we are so proud of you.

You love to sing. All the time. In the car, in your room, on the potty, in the bath, anywhere, anytime. You are very musical and you can listen to a song ONCE and know most of the words. (you get that musical inclination from Daddy)

Speaking of Daddy, he is your best friend. He recently changed shifts, and is now off every afternoon by 3. You are eating that up and have so enjoyed having your Daddy at home EVERY night!!

You love guns, and hunting. (You also get that from Daddy). You can’t wait to kill your first buck.

From Santa, you want: a gun (of course), Buzz Lightyear Wings, and about 15,000 other things that you have seen!!

You can’t wait for your little brother Cason to be here. You think he will have brown hair and brown eyes just like Daddy.

You are very good at drawing, coloring, painting and other forms of artwork. ( You get that from me)

You have grown to be a very good helper around the house. Some of your chores are: feeding the dogs, setting the table, and cleaning your room. Thanks!!

You pray about everything and firmly believe in it!

I love our time together, especially in the morning car ride to school. We have some wonderful conversations and love to sing and act silly.

You love tacos. (Another thing you get from Daddy) YOU ate FIVE tacos when we made them at home one night.

YOU truly know the REAL meaning of Christmas and are proud to tell people that it's really Jesus' birthday.

You still give the biggest hugs, the sweetest smiles and the best sugars.

I love you so much.
Hello new blog!!

“The Jackson Journals” is going to serve as my attempt to journal about our life, and to share these priceless memories with friends and family… and those of you out there reading now, of course. We do our best with what we have, and believe me, I am so thankful for EVERYTHING that God has given us. We have been blessed beyond measure with a wonderful support group of family and friends.

Now, on to a little about us. We have been married for five years. We both work for “the prison”. Heath is a Lieutenant at one of the units in town and I am a secretary for one of the directors as well as an Independent Consultant for Arbonne. We live outside of Huntsville, about ten miles. We met kind of randomly. We actually both went to the same school, just not at the same time as Heath is several years older than me. After our initial run in, we just kept bumping into each other and I will admit that I was hooked. He may not admit that as quickly as I would, but I’ll go ahead and go out on a limb and say that he was hooked too. Anyway, we have so much fun together!! We now have one amazing son named Lucas, who just turned four. He is by far the light of our lives, and has blessed us both so much. He is adorable and funny and smart… and of course I could just go on and on about him and his little personality. We are also expecting a second little boy, Cason, in January 2010 and can’t wait to meet him. Lucas thinks he will have brown hair and brown eyes like Daddy, so we will see!! As a family, we love being outdoors. Riding around in our Jeep on a cool fall afternoon, hunting, fishing and playing in the yard are on our list of favorites. We all love sports. Heath is an avid hunter. He also loves to run, when his bum knee permits, go to the gym, and play sports. Lucas will start T-ball in the Spring. They both can hardly wait and thanks to a schedule change, AMEN, Heath is going to be one of Lucas’ coaches. And Cason and I will be sitting proudly in the stands!! Our favorite vacation spot is the beach, anything near the sand and surf. While the outdoors are great, you can also often find us cuddled up together watching a good movie! In addition to spending time with my little family, I love decorating, any sort of craft, scrapbooking, painting, helping others, children, animals, living healthy and an occasional good book when I get time… but who has any of that?

We believe in God, in His faithfulness, and know that all things are possible through Him. He is our rock and we all know that without Him, we would be nothing. I hope that through journaling about our family and memories, I can glorify His name and maybe even help someone see how much He loves us.
