Baseball USA

Does it seem as though a lot of my posts are centered around baseball these days? Well, get used to it!! It's only going to get worse as we enter the summer all-star season!  This past weekend, we went to Houston to a place called Baseball USA to watch Braden's Elite team, The Blackhawks, play in a tournament.  We all had so much fun watching him play, visiting with Stacy and Dede, eating, and hanging out! Here are a few pics of Braden in action on the field:

And, I even busted Dede "texting" from the stands! She will love me for this one.

I love this picture of Momma and her littlest boy!

Saturday night we ate dinner at Pappasitos, which I hadn't had in FOREVER.  It was so good!

We spent the night at the hotel with the team, which Lucas loved.  He said it was like a 'baby' vacation! I can't imagine how excited he will be when we go to the beach in Florida for a week in July! He won't know what to do with himself.  We were running a little short on bed space though, so we had to improvise:

You can tell from the pictures that our idea didn't fly with Cason.  He had other plans!

We woke up bright and early Sunday and headed back to the ball field.  I didn't get many pictures at the game that day.  On the way out, Lucas found a little shop that sold the baseball necklaces he had been wanting, so we bought him one for making all-stars.  He was so excited. He saw these things months ago and has wanted one since.

Disclaimer: Bessie, This necklace does not contain any herbal ingredients that claim to ease the pain of teething.
Doesn't he look like such a big kid?  He really loves hanging out with Braden! They get along so good and are a lot alike. Just look at those handsome Jackson boys!

After the first game on Sunday, we headed home so that we could have some time at home together before the Monday morning rush.  Lucas did NOT want to leave! I think if he could get away with it, he'd move us all in with Stacy and Dede!!  We had a great afternoon at home riding bikes in the pasture and down the dirt road (no pics- scared I'll "wreck" my camera!).
